Product Details 

OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) is a high-performance cable used in overhead transmission lines to perform dual roles-providing grounding protection and fiber optic communication. Installed at the top of power towers, OPGW cables shield the transmission line from lightning while enabling high-speed data transmission. The structure integrates aluminum-clad steel strands for strength and stainless steel tubes to protect the fiber cores.

Structure
The stainless steel tube is hermetically sealed by seamless welding and is surrounded by single or double or three layers of metal wires. The tube is filled with water-resistant gel. This tube provides complete protection to the fibers from longitudinal and lateral water/moisture ingress. The interstices in between the stainless steel tube and the metal wires are filled with anticorrosive grease for protection from corrosion.
