SHD-PCG stands for:

SHD-PCG cables are designed for medium-voltage (2 kV or 5 kV) power supply to heavy mining equipment. They include:

  • Three insulated power conductors

  • Grounding conductors

  • A ground check conductor (GC) for monitoring ground continuity

  • Shielding for electrical safety and EMI control

These cables are extremely robust, flexible, and resistant to harsh mining conditions such as mechanical abuse, moisture, oils, and chemicals.

 

Application:

SHD-PCG cables are primarily used for:

  • Underground and surface mining operations

  • Powering heavy mobile equipment like shovels, drills, crushers, and haul trucks

  • Applications requiring:

    • Ground fault monitoring

    • Shielding for EMI protection

    • Enhanced mechanical protection

  • Trailing or reeling in moderate flexing conditions (not constant dynamic reeling)
